Meeting under Covid-19 restrictions

The church is open for worship on Sundays but is subject to Covid-19 conditions. It is necessary to maintain a distance of 2m between people. Also people are required to wear a mask and sing quietly. Craft & Chat and Poppets are also running under these conditions.

The church service can be accessed remotely over the internet or telephone using Zoom. Please contact Pastor Colin on 07722-901701 if you would like to participate in this way.

Children's clubs finished for summer

The children's clubs on Thursdays have now finished for the summer and will recommence when the children return to school in September 2019

Poppets Group Re-starts

We are pleased to announce that the Poppets Group will re-start on Thursday October 5th 2017. The group is for under 3s and their parents or carers. 15 places available - first come first served. Cost £1 per child. Refreshments for children and adults.

East Africa Famine Appeal Fundraiser

A huge thanks to everyone who helped with our community fundraising 'Coffee & Cakes' event at the church for people suffering from the famine and drought in East Africa. You raised almost £500 through your efforts and support which has been sent to Tearfund to support their vital work in the area. It was wonderful to get to know more people from our community. We thank God for all of you.

New Church & Community Pastor

We are pleased to welcome Colin Jones to our leadership team as a Church & Community Pastor. Colin will be working part-time to increase the connection between our church and its local community at Gaer, sharing the good news of forgiveness, new life and hope through Jesus Christ. We welcome Colin's wife Janet also to the church.

Poppets Group Closed

The Monday afternoon Poppets Group has been temporarily suspended from January 2016. Poppets will resume as soon as possible in the Spring. Please keep an eye on the website for further information.

Book of Hope

The church has been involved with ICE Wales in providing teaching sessions to Years 3/4 at Gaer Junior School. These sessions are called Book of Hope and give children an insight into the bible. Please pray for this work.

Easter Break

There will be no Poppets group on Monday 14th April or Monday 21st April because of the Easter break. Similarly, there is no C Club on Friday 18th April or the 25th April. All events restart the week beginning April 28th. Happy Easter to everyone.

Easter Eggsplained

We are very pleased to be hosting Easter Eggsplained on April 3rd at the church. Easter Eggsplained is designed and run by ICE Wales  for Year 6 school children to understand the Easter message. Year 6 from the Gaer Junior School will be visiting the church in 3 groups to get involved in the event which will include a DVD, craft activities and a rapping session!  

IT Equipment

Disabled facilities

We are pleased to announce that our disabled toilet is now completed. The painter was in over the Christmas holiday and the room is now ready for use. Thank you to all concerned with the building and decorating work  - Dave and Brian. Thank you to everytone who has so generously supported the work with cash donations. We are very grateful to you all.

Food 4 Thought

Alison would like to thank eveyone who so generously supported our Food 4 Thought Project in 2013. I have calculated that we gave over £500 pounds worth of food and personal goods to the Gaer Community Project. Please continue to give what you can in 2014. Thank you.
